My Travel Buddy: Flighty App for a Fun Travel Journal

Travel Journal

In 2022, I took it upon myself to keep better track of my flights, maintaining a simple note on my phone. This approach made it a breeze to input all my 2022 travel data into the Flighty app when I discovered it on a Reddit post in late 2022.

Now, as I look forward to 2023, a remarkable thing has happened: most of my flights mysteriously populate in my Flighty app. This travel journal serves as the foundation for my credibility as a frequent traveler. In early 2024, I'll be sharing my 2023 stats, and with even more flights and distances to showcase. Feel free to let me know if there are any specific trips you'd like more details about. I'd be happy to share further insights and experiences from those journeys.

My desire to share my travel journey is not only rooted in documenting my adventures but also in offering candid insights. Many people start travel blogs after just a few trips, which can sometimes lead to unrealistic advice, especially for those traveling with children. I aim to bring a genuine perspective to the table, sharing experiences like my encounters with the worst airline I've ever flown with (VietJet), the most incredible resort I've had the pleasure of staying in (the Gili Lankanfushi in the Maldives), and the best investment I've made for traveling with kids (hello, iPad and kids' headphones).

Through this blog, I aspire to offer not only our experiences as expats but also a helping hand to fellow travelers who, like me, may have some travel anxiety. I aim to offer a handy set of tips and advice, motivating fellow travelers to take the plunge and make unforgettable memories with their families as they explore the world.

*I have no affiliation with Flighty, I just really like this app for documenting my travels.
